i have heard about these, but have never seen them. i heard that they are simpler versions aimed at youngins. started hearing about them about 9 months ago and had totally forgotten about them. that was way back when i was still using the GW forums.
Squad Boosters
When i went to my local hobby shop recently, i noticed something on the counter. they have released these little booster add ons for the orks, vampire counts, space marines, and chaos. they are $12 each and have 3-5 models in them. now i was surprised as the ****ins to see them, because i didnt see anything about them in white dwarf. they were just kind of released without any warning. has anyone else seen these? or am i alone? has anyone bought them? is there anything of interest about them? also, are the ork models new? because i noticed that they look slightly different. thanks for any help!

The models are easy-assemble-for-new-guys. The orks are vissable in the Painting Section of the board, look at Space Marines and Orks *pics* or something like that.
They are like two part models and really ugly. I guess they are good if you need 3 chaos warriors or something...

the only reason the orks caught my eye, is because they are in different poses, so i thought it might be cool to pick a box up just to get some different looking lads with my others.
Are these the same as the 5 man combat squads? I have seen those in the stores for awhile. GW also had a starter paint set which came with 5 marines that were basically one piece models that you just glued onto a slotted base. I'm not sure if I've seen the ones you are talking about though. no, their definitely not the starter paint set. ive seen that and their completely different...
what you are talking about is probably the little snap on, or basic parts for a little troops for starting GW players.. who just dont know what to really do.
