if a unit has pistols can they stand and shoot against a pursuit charge? The rulebook states that if ye have entered combat as a pursuit of another unit that ye cannot use stand and shoot just hold or flee. But the rulebook also states that pistols can always stand and shoot.

The reference about being able to "always" stand and shoot relates to the range limitation of stand and shoot. Even if an enemy unit is with half it's charge range you can still stand and shoot with a pistol.
