Hey Guys! Im new around here... After 5 years I was in the mall and I saw a GamesWorkShop store! I walked over to see and was remembering the times I had building these little buggers painting them withing 5 minutes or less and smashing them together like actions heros! I couldnt resist.. I went into the store to sneak a peak.........

After A few days I decided I would start again.... Now ive been collecting tau for a few weeks and enjoy painting alot! Though im still a noob im hoping to get into playing the game soon instead of just collecting

Oh yea.. Heres a pic of my 3 day old crisis suit! Took me 2 1/2 days to paint this and im so proud!!! Please send tips/witty remarks, they will be most apreciated :p
I Hope you like my colour scheme!

Nice job. On other suits though you might want to angle the feet more to give it a look of flying and weightlessness. Anyway I'll see if I can post one of my battlesuit pics ;) . Great job!! :D

Actually Drake.. I didnt glue the feet nor the weapons because

for the weapons i will paint them all(they fit nice and firm) and when i get into battle i can choose my weapons of destruction!

Feet... hmm well i just didnt glue them.. ill get a new picture up here.. i added sand with crstal shards poking up through the ground.. looks sweet

ill fix the feet to your liking see if it looks good

Very nice painting!

Good choice of colours, gives nice contrast.
What I can see of shading looks very good.

You've based him flying, and the flying base rod has virtually no glue remains... like the "snow" you get from superglue.

Just paint the base properly and you'll have a superb model.

Wow, meesa likes much. But a tip could help too, you may want to super drybrush (meaning just about no paint at al) the edges of the darker areas with white or something light to bring out the details, it will give it a 'eavy metal look... trust me.

Hmm, actually I recomend painting all but the deepest recesses of the black areas with a 50:50 mix of shadow grey and chaos black. Thats what they did for the eavy metal Tau army.

I think it lookes great!, but on some the plates you might want to add something to break up the big white spaces of the armour, maybe choose a sept word and put/paint the black decals on the larger areas?

i still dislike the poses of tau battle suits, dont have a very battly' look about them, i wanna convert one holdin a pulse rifle in both hands, and in a more movement orientated pose...

why would you do that?? you would get big fire warriors and why use one gun in two hands when you can use two guns in two hands!! :p but is must say the batlesuits are a bit immobile looking, but if you make sure that all the models in one team of Battle Suits are different positioned they will look more bloodshed willing ;)
