~I have a wood elf friend and we were both wondering if treefolk are effected just like an armored foe. Treefolk have a +3 save, so they'd be hit by a Str 5 Attack. But would treefolk even be effected? They have bark for armour, not actual metal armour. Would their bark melt and burn and would thy be effected, or would it just not effect them?

~I believe that it would effect them, but I can see where my friend would have an argument.

Nowhere in the spell description does it state that the target must actually have metal on their body. Or any kind of restriction on targets, for that matter. As such, it will hurt treemen just as much as anyone else.

The spell only works on the actual saving throw - what the armour is made of is of no relevance. Warhammer does not go down to that level of detail.
