I have found that when I get a new set, most of my time is spent gluing them together. If you have this same problem, try these steps.

1. try proping the model up so that you do not ahve to hold it.
2. get some testors plastic glue so the modles stick sooner, its a thick glue.
3. try using rubber cement to stick it, then use citidel glue to seal it.
4. get some accellerator, just 1 drop and it dries citidel glue in about 2 seconds, i got mine at hobby town USA

That accelerator stuff (known to me as activater) is sweet, it is a god send when gluing fiddly models and metals.

Propping models up does work quite well, but you have to put it in a place where it will not be disturbed (not even by vibrations from say, doors shutting).

Im confused, do you mean the plastic glue or the super glue, surely plastic glue couldnt dry that fast even with accelarator. Not that i've tried though.

Tygra
It works well with super glue. It can dry that fast, it come in the 10 second version or the 5 second version, either way it makes glue set super fast.

Places like B&Q sell types of it, tygra, if you want some try the "mitre kit" brand, its really good.
