How big do you guys run your hammerers, 14 with thane 19 with thane? Ofc you only need 1 living to get stubborn break test so thats 5 guys i may not need to have unless im losing alot of guys at once?

On an un-related note: Im not sure if im alloud to post this here but ill edit it out if i can't. I can't post on bugmans brewery, any chanse someone can make/give me an account that i can have to reply and post on those forums. The reason i can't is because it's not sending a validation to my email (yes its right email address). Any help plzz :)?

+1 static CR. With an extra dwarf on the front rank, you are betting the CR with one extra attack that might still miss. The only time you need the extra attack instead of static +1 CR is when you are engaging a monster or stubborn / unbreakable units.

That's 18 guys, so it's obvious to use 6 wide there.
5 x 3 is 2 rank bonus + a third rank of 3 models.
6 x 3 is 2 rank bonus.

6 wide works fine and it makes your ranks bigger, so you won't immediately lose it when 1 guy dies. It does not take away any CR either. Unless you have a unit of 20. Then 5x4 is good.

I think hammerers should be quite large units. 20 and a hero. 19 or 14 is fun and all to save points but you just need to lose 1 guy and bam, there goes a rank. In my own army I have 20 warriors and 15 longbeards and to both these units I add a hero ( so 16/ 21 models ) and I can't tell you how many times I lost 1 guy to missilefire or the first round of combat, and I could still use that third rank.

I'd say choose between 6x3, 6x4 and 5x4.
