personally, i just go for the cliches. Chocolates and flowers and stuff. When you are our age, you can get away with it and you don't get murdered for being unoriginal.

If you do decide to be a bit more original, don't go over the top. Have a £20 budget, MAX. You don't wanna seem too clingy and obsessive.

unless she isn't the type to think this, then you can go crazy and just get rewarded for it!
Just write some heart warming poetry, its really easy and it appears you have made an effort, which is probably a lie.

Just make sure that its subtle and fairly original.
ooh yeah i like that idea. easy on the wallet as well, so you can spend some more of your hard earned csh on warhammer.
I was stuck with what to buy for my valentine, so I saught advice from the best people to go to in this situation.... lasses ^_^

So, yeah. Go ask some lasses that you know (and know her). They should be about to give you some good advice.

The lass I asked ((*Hugs Grephaun*)) suggested a Pashmina scarf. Contrary to my previous belief, Pashmina is not something served with Rice and Naan bread, but some Cashmire / Silk combo. Anywho, got the prezzie now and I think the lass will really like it.

I would however say avoid the following;

Chocolates (To Cliche and shows no thought)
Flowers (As above)
Jewlery (Unles you know her really well and know what she likes)

i thought a Pashmina was actually the name of the garment? you learn something new everyday!

i agree chocolates do display a lack of thought, and Jewlery is difficult unless you know them very well (also to get nice pieces is pretty expensive) but i do think flowers are a pretty good valentines gift IF
a) its a nice big expensive bouquet and not a garage forecourt bunch
AND b) youve also got something else
Noone really gets flowers too often anymore so, in my experience, they always go down well.

The advice on not going overboard is good stuff too, you dont want to seem too keen, but you want to display youve put thought into it
Hey guys remember he's only 13. Chocolate and flowers are fine for his age group. Unless the girl is really expecting something different, chocolate and flowers go nice with a card containing some mushy poetry. Also, dinner might be a good bonus to consider.
Hey, I found this and thought it was neat, if you are stumped, this might be good!

Chocolatey, but cool

I mean, it's the old (somewhat cliche) chocolate, but its novel! And anyway, I don't think I have EVER met a woman that doesn't like chocolate.

*Hugs back.* No problem, you’re fun to go online shopping with. :w00t: I was especially amused by your outrageous claim that the colours I suggested for the scarf (Scallop Shell, Vanilla, Cream, Mink) were actually foods rather than colours. Mink, Knape? When was the last time you enjoyed a tasty weasel? It’s a really nice gift though, I’m sure your Valentine will love it. *Envies.* ;)

As for what to get one's girlfriend for Valentine’s Day I actually don’t find the standard gifts all that offensive; they’re inexpensive and traditional romantic items, and a single red rose with a box of delicious chocolates will definitely appeal to the vast majority of girls (except if she’s on a diet, remember to check first!)

Of course, if you know something she really likes, like a special brand of music or perfume or accessories, you can really show your attentiveness by getting her a very special present you know she will find particularly precious. It will prove that you know her well enough to appreciate her special interests. However, only do this if you actually know what her special interest is! ;)

Good luck with it all, in any case. :)

If you can paint and assemble WH, then its likely that you are both creative and goods with your hands. Try actually making some jewellry! Trust me its awsome. No gold or anything, just something simple that is special to her and will remind her of you. I made someone a necklace out of green stuff! Yes Green stuff! I painted it really nice and tied it using some simple cord. it looked really good. Everyone kept saying it was beautiful and the recipiant loved it to bits! Try it.

alternatively, you could make some of your own chocolate, or bake her a big cake or something.

You could melt some chocolate and customise it a bit eg. have half of the chocolate black and have your name in it and have the other half pink (food colouring) and have her name in it.

or that might be a bit too much effort, i don't know.

I also am not really sure if this will work or not, but i can't see why it wouldn't.

You could use a cadburys bar and fill in the gaps between the squares with melted chocolate, and sort of weld 2 bars together. You get what i mean.
Well if you had been a few years older i would have recommended leaving rose petals leading a trail to the bedroom with more rose petals on the bed a nice bottle of Champagne on ice (if she likes Champagne another tiple if she does not) and yourself on the bed wearing nothing but a bow tie and a thong. I did this for all of my previous Girlfriends..... on second thought that probalby explains why they ran off screaming  Seriously though some good advice has been given if you know what she is into buy her something to do with that or if not here favorite perfume or the old cliches of some choclates and flowers.
