VOSTRYANS! Yay!

They look pretty cool, a mix of valhalla and cadian. These are the "Firstborns" so I guess that means the firstborns aren't new rough riders or some such (dang, I got my hopes up and everything) but still looking good though.

:w00t:Yaaayyy!!! Woohoo!!!:w00t:...Wait...what are those? Valhallan IG dudes? :(
Interesting look.. I'm waiting to see how they'll do the regular infantry.

Those guys look a bit pomped up and fancy for my liking. I want gritty IG, not the 17th Big Hat Brigade. That said, the lasguns look superb.. The brown finish gives them a nice look, distinct from the cadians.
they're vostryans, another ig set. They're set to come out with the cityfight 2 codex this summer. They're supposed to be Tsar-era russians

they're not doing a whole vostryan army, just some infantry.
woah.. some pretty nifty models.. to add to my list.

Well... add a few tanks and those infantry turn into a guard army. They look fairly ornate, I'm also interested in what the regulars look like.
Interesting...cossack guard. I'd assume they're disciplined, etc - maybe a little like stormtroopers. Still, i think that this is gonna be one of those models which looks better in the flesh - and i believe they will suit cityfight.

LoC
I am more intrested to see the regular infantry and these pics are to zoomed out to give a good reflection of the minis as well.
they would make good hardened veterans for valhallans
why, gawd, why did they have to give 'em big furry hats?

cool lasguns... crappy everything else...
They look pretty cool, I like their uniforms. That standard bearer looks like one tough hombre.

We need more pictures of these guys so we can see them more closely!
That´s a stand bearer¡¡¡¡
They're nice minis, but I can't say I'll ever get any. IG already has too many nice regiment ranges already, and these guys don't really outshine Kasrkins or SL.
After all the money that I just dumped into Elysian Drop troops, I think that this particular army will be on hold for a long long time.

They are some really nice looking models, tho..... :)

However, I do have one big question: If they aren't making any basic troops for this particular army, then what the hell are we supposed to use? There aren't any current ranges that fit the "furry hat" theme unless they are/have brought back the metal Valhallans, and who wants a metal army these days anymore? It's entirely too expensive when there are great looking plastics like Cadians and Catachans for so so much cheaper.

They will release standard troops as well, we don't have any pics on them yet though.

as far as I know they're only releasing that (vostryan firstborn) and a platoon box. I'm still not sure if these are all new models or a conversion kit... (seeing as how the guy in the front is a Kasrkin sgt, and the radioman looks exactly like a cadian radio operatior)

But the cadian command squad is metallic, not good to base conversions like this on.
But I see their resemblence, it is... scary...
Maybe this will meen plastic cadian command squad? Or more likly is that they have based the models on cadians.
I'm positive that the new models you just showed us are just as metal as the Cadian command group.

I don't mind buying a few metals for an army, however, I really don't ever plan on buying another fully metal army ever again. They suck for conversions, they don't hold paint as well.... I have a volley of reasons to not like metals. If they are planning on releasing regular plastic troops, though, then I'll probably own some in the future.

I mean, I already have in excess of 15,000 points of Imperial Guardsmen, what's another 2000? :D

:O
Ever played 'em all at the same time?
I also hope the troops are plastic, but it seems unlikly...
