Once you're signed in, there should not be any pop-ups or banner-ads visible on the site. If you are seeing these things, it's likely a sign of malware on your own machine.
This is a problem that I was having a while ago, for myself. Some words in posts were underlined as links out to other sites. For example, the word 'model' (in regards to the little plastic men we all know and love) would be linked out to an ad for a "modeling agency in LA, looking for attractive young females." This was not a problem with LO however - it was an adware bot that had installed itself onto my machine.

The blog section has been closed and deleted - there should no longer be any blog posts visible in the sidebar of the forum. The only "spam" type postings that we get, are the occasional "bots", which make advertising or nonsense posts in our regular forums.
