i'd say find a colour you like , then find a contrast colour to set the first colour off and go from there. I went with the Dark angels green armour and bleached bone skin design.

of course my armyw as built and painted with a speed dip design.
well the 'fex look nice but the armore shouldent realy be black...maby sumthing like...
Regal blue as the main with Enchanted blue for highlights or Scorched brown with Brazen brass or what ever. Cause if you highlight 'nids right its realy cool
well i like that carapace.
i dont have my codex here (im at my army station or wwhat its called) and i was wondering what colors the behemoth scheme is ( its like the last pages in the codex)
I paint my tyranids with a blue/purple blend on the flesh, and an orange blending into yellow down the carapace.

Very sharp looking, and I've never seen anyone else use it. Gives the bugs a bright poisonous look akin to various real world creatures.
well this is what i do hi

me i have painted my nids with a bleachedbone base followed with a fleshwash, highlighted again with bleached bone and skull white armor has been painted red gore with a purple ink wash with blood red highlightes. try that it is a mixture of old fleet and forrgotten fleet.:ninja:
Well Jonny.. I know you don't to like to lay down dam much time on your models but..

For the black I would use chaos black, codex grey and fortress grey. First mix black with codex grey and make a highlight. Then only use codex grey and highlight. Then use a mix of codex grey and fortress grey and so on.

For the red I would use scab red, red gore and blood red and make the same progress as I mentioned above. Good luck. ;) I like your new carnifex btw.

The standard Hivefleet Behemoth color scheme is as follows:

Exoskeleton = Red Gore base paint with Blood Red highlights

Carapace = Chaos Black basecoat, Hawk Turquoise painted over Chaos Black, and finally 50/50 mix of Hawk Turquoise and Codex Grey for edging and highlighting

The color scheme for my ‘nids is like this:

Exoskeleton = Scorpion Green with heavy Midnight Blue wash, highlighted with Scorpion Green again

Carapace = Red Gore basecoat, a heavy Midnight Blue drybrush (makes a really dark wine color…a Merlot I think :) ) and Blood Red edging and highlighting.

Hope that helps you out.
