Hey!

I'm here, wondering like I always do, how you people have built your army.
So I'm adding a poll here and we'll hopefully see which army builds are the most common here on LO.

So, what kind of army do you play, and why?

I myself play a jetbike based army with some mechanization.
Reason being that in my mind jetbikes are awesome and Eldar vehicles are just plain cool.
Most of the army are things I consider cool though...

Edit- Ok, after some people notifying me that the poll is unclear I will attempt to clarify what everything means.
First, the poll is based mostly on your troops choices, I hope that's understood.
Secondly, what you choose to click is entirely up to you. IF you consider your army a ranger army, then you do, go ahead and click the button.
I can't really say that you're all wrong and such for choosing that option.
Third, the option "Mixed" is for the armies that you yourself can't find any equivalent to in the poll's existing options. You can always go ahead and say what the army you play is if you choose the Mixed option.
I sincerely hope that I have clarified the poll for you. :)

Cheers!

Might be interesting to see how this ends up. I voted Mech guardians, I play Ulthwe and was forced to mech up with 5th because of the loss of my speed advantage ( thank you run rule ). Learned rather quickly how tough tanks can be which makes mech all the nicer, and placing down 7+ grav tanks is just fun.

I do play all styles of eldar lists but the mech guardian is my favorite and most used.

Put myself in as mixed,

I run mainly a mech list, some aspect warriors and some storm guardians in serpents with usually a small unit of rangers/pathfinders to sit back usually on an objective, quite like my scorpions as well

i play a very mixed army with foot slogging guardians, jet bike guardians, mech aspect warriors and a foot flogger aspect unit with Wraithlord/Fire prisms in heavy support.

the poll could be a little more clear on what each vote means because some people will play with 5 mech DA squads and pick up rangers to hold the objective at the home base, that could count as mixed or mech aspect warriors.

The poll as it is, relies a bit on logic.
I said before that I run a jetbike army, didn't I?
Well that doesn't mean I have only jetbikes, but my army consists of mainly jetbikes. (But that's because Avengers can't have jetbikes! :p )
So your example there would be a mechanized aspect warrior army.
(Then of course it depends on what the person considers h*s army to be too)

I hope that I didn't mess up for anyone now. ^_^

For me it is hard to say which EXACTLY.

I have a 2000 point Mechanized army which is primarily aspects. (8 tanks)
I also have a 2000 point jetbike army which is JUST jetbikes (4 Vypers so technically AV in there.)
I also have a 2000 point Iyanden army with 20 Wraithguard and 3 Wraithlords.

But I also tend to mix and match things in lists. Unless I'm feeling fluffy, then I run an army themed to the hilt.

Right now I am trying out "non-linear" infantry lists to see how they work out. This being an army that has a good number of flankers, deep strikers, and fast reserves.

From my 5000 points i can make almost anything. but i like to use strange builds (like the spider/guardian reserve list i used at last tournament) and of course our mech power lists.

Why bother with a poll if your relying on people to fit their army in to a set of choices that really don't represent what they are playing. Unless people read through every post to clarify what people mean its just meaningless, especially sinec alot of people obviously have done that and not posted.

All of the options above are the army lists I could come up with at the top of my head and besides, they're guided by your troop choices.
If you feel none of them feel as if they're your kind of army, I included a nice "Mixed" option. ;)
But I apologies for not being clear enough then and I'll go ahead and just press the nice edit button and hopefully clarify what the clarifications I attempted to have in the poll means...

I have enough for a mech list. But most at my local store play mech Marines (black templars) or Drop pod Marines.
So with them coming to me, I switched to a stand and shoot eldar with D-Cannons (come here little land raider full of termies...the void of the warp beckons you!). I have Banshees that hang back to support units that get charged.
Just got my Avatar, so him and a Wraithlord 'bodyguard' will be making an appearance soon!
10man DA with bladestorm eats marine's for breakfast.

So anyway, I voted Aspect footslogger

I have been running what I like to think of as a full mech list, not a single model on foot. I have not always had the best results but it is very fun to watch my opponents face when they see what they are up against.

3 Jetbike squads of 5 to 6 each
1 shining spears sqd
3 Vypers
1 Autach on Jetbike
either farseer on jetbike or another Autarch on jetbike
9 Warwalkers
