i wanna play demonhunters but im not sure what elites to use im not gunna use grey knights since i wanna use demon hosts i might ally in some marine terminators but the assasins are cool i dunno what to do what elites should i use
it depends what armies you are facing, if they are full of psykers orindeed another daemonhunter army, use celexus as it specialises, if they have one big leader, vindicare, a large batch of troops, callidus. death cult are good against the terminator groups as their are few and their invulnerable save is only 5+. terminators are good too but daemonhosts are too unpredictable!
I wish you didnt have to bring an iquisitor to bring an assassin. I mean a grandmaster used to be apart of the inquisiton, so whats the pooint? Sending this bumbling idiot to assist in a covert assassination mission?
Grand Masters were never inquisitors, they moved up in the ranks of the Grey Knights.
I think its a good way of keeping things equal and giving both incentives for people who take Inquis and people who take GM/BCs, one gives you assassins and the other gives you Dreads and whatnot.
nope, your wrong my friend, sorry , They were never Inquisitors, it says that a Grand Master is part of Inner conclave but thats it, he would be there as a rep for the entire chapter, and it makes sense that they would have a rep on the council, givin that they are the fighting arm of the Inquisition and should atleast have a say in the inner workings .
Do you want shooty elites or close combat, or both? Daemonhosts don't seem to have anything as far as the shooty end goes so if you want something shooty take an assassin or some terminators w/ big guns. If you want more close combat maybe take some w/ lightning claws or something. It all depends on what you want to do. By the way it also appears that Daemonhosts are psykers, and they are, of course, fearless, so if you team up more than one with a Culexus you can get a whole bunch of shots w/ that wonderful gun of his. Just a suggestion, and anyway I have heard the IG can really cheese out a Culexus w/ the help of Schaeffer's Last Chancers. So yeah, do what you want to do, shooty, close combat, or both.
