title says it all.

i know you bring tons of monstrous creatures, but what about big games? what are your troops? do you bring a flyrant?

im very curious. the concept intrigues me, because i hate gaunts. i own 16 of each gaunt and they are almost never used, i usually just go with stealers.

can someone fill me in?

thanks!

Bring as many monstrous creatures as you can.

If I'm feeling boring and cheesy, I field the following:

Winged Hive Tyrant with 2 TL Devourers
Hive Tyrant with 2 TL Devourers and some Guard
3X Elite Carnifex with Devourers
3X Heavy Carnifex with Venom Cannon and Barbed Strangler

Points go into Enhanced Senses upgrades for most shooters, Warp Field for Tyrants, and Carnifexes get the +1T and +1W upgrades as seen fit.
If more points are left over, get maximum number of Tyrant Guard and equip them differently.

Fill up the rest of the points with Genestealers. Give them all Feeder Tendrils as a high priority. Give them all scuttlers if you have the points.

That is your standard Nidzilla Army. The points all go into taking all the TMCs with the proper weapons and necessary upgrades and then balancing the rest of your points between genestealers and upgrades.

You could also put a "Godfex" as a Heavy Choice.

You have the basic concept, and my list deiffers from Absolutionis, as Ill take a shooty Tyrant with guard, 2x TL Devourers, a Scything Flyrant, 3 Elite Fexes, 2x TL Devourers and 3 Heavy fexes with 2x TL Devourers. Not much difference from his, but I prefer the Tyrant to hurry up and fly in there to get rid of the pesky tanks. And Absolutionis is on cue with filling out the rest with Genestealers with Feeder Tendrils, I add, if the points allow, scything talons, toxin scas and extended carapace. Hope this helped.

This is Nidzilla...

Walking Tyrant, TL Devs, enh sense, toxin

Flyrant, 2x Scytal, toxin, acid maw

6 Elite style fexes (Either Dakka or Boomfexes)

8x Stealers w/ hooks and scuttlers (3 squads)
9x Stealers w/ hooks and scuttlers (1 squad)
8x Stealers w/ tendrils and scuttlers (2 squads)

Salt to taste and viola...an army which will give all of your opponents fits.

im planning on going with this:

1x walker tyrant with 2x tldevs and psychic scream
3 tyrant guard

3x dakka fexes
2x sniperfexes
3x zoanthropes with psychic scream and warp blast

2 groups of genestealers
1 group of rippers to protect the fexes from melee

and im debating on what to do with my 2nd tyrant... i already have his wings but should i make him a scythrant or go with more devs?

Magnetize. ;)

I would point out that you have a lot of devourer shots already being pumped out.
How do you plan to deal with annoying and/or powerful CC monsters (demon princes, wraithlords, etc..) ?

IMHO any army with 6 or more MCs (or MC equivalents) is an zilla list. Why do I think its at 6 and not 8? Daemonzilla can only have 7 MCEQ (or 5 actual MCs) while there are many nidzilla lists with zoanthropes in them (because zoans rule and one can sit back and babysit some cheap gaunts on your objective). The troops are generally stealers with possibly one unit of WoN gaunts to hold your own objective.

or for a 500 pt battle:

Tyrant, 2xscything talons and warp blast
8x spinegaunts
6x scuttling genestealers with feeder tendrils
Fex, 2x devourers and enhanced senses
Fex, barbed strangler and scything talons

I had to make a 500 point army with what i had on me and i thought i'd go maximum cheese with that little baby.
