If I'm not supposed to discuss GW pricing here, just delete this thread, and I do apologise. That's the way it was on their official forums, but I assume that I'm allowed to discuss it here.
Anyway, I'm looking at getting into Fantasy with some friends (we play 40k), and was looking at the BfSP box. In Australia, $85AUD.
Now, it seems to have a LOT of models in there. Can someone please tell me, are the models snap-together ones like the Battle for Macragge box-set supposedly are? (only speaking from what I've heard, never looked). Or are they the same models you'd get if you bought the components separately?
Because if it's the latter, does that then mean that the box-set is INCREDIBLE value? Because I looked at some prices, and 10 Goblins Spider Riders on their own cost $50. The whole box set is only $85, and has LOTS more than that. I haven't worked it out exactly, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was 300-400 bucks worth of stuff in there.
I'm used to army-boxes in 40k usually saving you half to one box-worth of value. (So in Australia, where most boxes are $50, you pay $150 for something generally worth $175 - $200 if the bits were bought separately). (That's 40k stuff). Am I missing some important point, or is the BfSP box just crazy-good value?
