you should buy the necron battleforce.

you get a lot more with the money you pay for it.

He doesn't have enough cash to buy the battle force and Codex. He has 94 dollars but about 4 dollars for tax. So He can buy 24 warriors and 1 Lord.. Or he can buy somthing else.. Is that a good way to start? Or should he not go by the Standard game list?

that doesnt sound bad,m he'll have a pretty solid 500 point army if he gives the lord a reserection orb...and give him this advice, dont byue to many models at once. youll get sick of them and wont paint them...ask my models, (they up in droar in my room, to be painted soon...)

 

Yeah, I'm still struggling to paint all my models and I've got an RTT coming up......

Surprisingly my destroyers are the ones I dread the most. After painting 2 and a Dest. lord I'm really sick of em, even MORESO than the the warriors, 24 of which I've painted. <sigh> only 6 warriors, 1 Immortal, and 3 Dest's to go, and only a week to do it in.

Edit: DAMN I forgot about the 3 Wraiths I have to do as well! ARRRRRGH!

1 question though... Does one need to die and then they phase out of do they need to be reduced to 1 to phase out?

LOL that would actually be COUNTER productive as my army is white;check out my 'Lith under the painting forum. Please post your opinion. Thanks for the tip. (I already do that)

As for phase out, it's when (after WBB rolls are made) the army is reduced to 25%. i.e. 100 Necron models on the board, at exactly 25 models left alive, the army phases out. Here's a link to the necron Q&A: http://www.warhammer.com/40kuniverse/warha...nQAver2.DOC.pdf

lol, lordhat, i got my dest. lord, 5 destroyers, and 3 heav ones done first...well, after first lord and nightbringer(why did i get him..?) i like to paint those alot, theyre my fave, i also like to paint scarabs (i can get one base done in like 15 minutes, and they look cool in a large number) but im dreading the evil-ness of painting like 30 mroe warriors...i have tiull like near-end of december to get done, but still..........

 

your brother could get to battle starter set it is cheaper

I like to paint scarabs, but I personally dont think that they need to be used. They ruined my victory against muh friend that plays Orks and muh friend that plays Ig, but they owned muh Space Marine friend! ha ha like 200 pts owned by 5 scarabs! HA HA!

 

lol, ive owned quite a bit with my scarabs...imagin this, roughly 40 attacks for a squad of ten charging, it may take alot to actually wound something, but with 40 attacks you can take things out easy...and against tanks, they are teh bomb...i took out like 4 anks on one turn with them....so sweet...i would never leave home wit out dem

 

i think the same as zeph they are sooo cool in close combat pitty they do not have guns
