1000pt Emperor's Children List

I need some help making a fun, but playable Emperor's Children army. Rhinos are used to screen off sections of the enemy army from LOS so that I can take on half of his army with my entire army. Daemonettes and Lord provide counter-attacking ability and the two squads of Noise Marines also screen for the Havok squad. Help me out with suggestions!!!

OK firstly the ability of troops to screen each other has been curtailed somewhat by 4th ed. so that tactic wont work too well, however..

LT - you sure you aint overspending your wargear limit here?
Who is he gonna hang with? I am not convinced he needs termie armour, it is probably a points waste

2 noise marine squads: great, the rhinos would benefit from extra armour if you ever get round to driving in them, and the ACs could use a little oomph but in 1000 points, not sure where you gonna get the points from

Rest is fine except:

normally I would not take a dread, I would prefer Preds or Defilers, however in 1000 points you are scarping for the points for this, in this case however, you are struggling for Anti Armour, I would off load the plasma cannon and take a las cannon, better than a Blast master with TH skill

The Lt. with termi armour is not a wise option(in other hand a Lord is a very good with Termie armour).Better spend(the few) points of Termi armor in other equipment.
And of course abandon the idea of troops screening.Something last, for the Dreadnought is a good to spend 5points on extra armor.Anyway Gl!

Ya. I would try to fit Earmor and smoke on all vehicles. They really help.

I agree with everyone else to drop the termi armor as well. In 1000 pts especially, you want to keep your HQ cheap. I usually just give mine(Nurgle LT) MON, manreaper, and D strength. Sometimes D aura as well in slightly larger point games. Since you cant give yours a manreaper of course, I would consider just a darkblade and bolt pistol, or possibly just a power weapon, D strength, and bolt pistol if you are really short on points. And guess what, a dark blade is 5 pts cheaper than 2x L claws but more effective IMO.

Does this look better? Also, when facing Eldar Wave Serpants, the Blast Masters with TH are better than Lascannons because Lascannons become strength 8 anyways. I was going to use the Dreadnaught as anti-banshee support when/if he rushes with Biel-Tan. He plays both Ulthwe' Seer Council and the Biel-Tan Banshee/Wave Serpant combo.

Well, honestly, I don't know why your putting 6 marines in a rhino. Second, I dont know why those 6 marines dont have a bolt pistol and close combat weapon while in rhinos. Their ability to lower initiative is amazing, So why do they all have sonic blasters and blastmasters? If you're going to go the SB BM route, then don't put them in rhinos, they would be pretty useless if you dropped them out of a rhino, show once, then charged with a crappy one attack. Use their advantages to your advantage, make them useful, they will be a lot better if you had full squads, and had only a few have Sonic Blasters and the rest Bolt pistol and close combat weapons.

Well, those are my two cents.
