I recently had a rules run in with Dangerous Terrain, my fellow gamers telling me that if my winged hive Tyrant landed in difficult terrain and failed its Dangerous Terrain test, it would DIE.:O Now that I've double checked the rules and found them to be fools, I've been thinking more on Dangerous Terrain, and two special rules concepts came to mind:
Feel No Pain, but more noticeably, Bionics.
Bionics work after wounds/saves/whatever, and the logic is that because they are more durable, the *user* is not injured as badly as he/she would be. One could imagine that the character flies from the sky and gets a rough landing. Thanks to his bionic ribs, his chest doesnt get cracked open, causing internal hemhoraging and whatnot. In another instance, a character with bionic legs runs through lava. Just try doing that with flesh.
So, my question is thus: can Feel No Pain or Bionics be used to negate wounds received from Dangerous Terrain?
I would like the rules/etc to be carefully inspected, and some real-world logic to be incorporated as well. This could mean the difference between life or death for many a chaplain, and I'm interested to see if this is feasible.
