Bionics Breaking the fall?

I recently had a rules run in with Dangerous Terrain, my fellow gamers telling me that if my winged hive Tyrant landed in difficult terrain and failed its Dangerous Terrain test, it would DIE.:O Now that I've double checked the rules and found them to be fools, I've been thinking more on Dangerous Terrain, and two special rules concepts came to mind:

Feel No Pain, but more noticeably, Bionics.

Bionics work after wounds/saves/whatever, and the logic is that because they are more durable, the *user* is not injured as badly as he/she would be. One could imagine that the character flies from the sky and gets a rough landing. Thanks to his bionic ribs, his chest doesnt get cracked open, causing internal hemhoraging and whatnot. In another instance, a character with bionic legs runs through lava. Just try doing that with flesh.

So, my question is thus: can Feel No Pain or Bionics be used to negate wounds received from Dangerous Terrain?

I would like the rules/etc to be carefully inspected, and some real-world logic to be incorporated as well. This could mean the difference between life or death for many a chaplain, and I'm interested to see if this is feasible.

Does dangerous terrain allow armor saves? You'll have to double check as I don't have my rulebook handy, but I beleive it doesn't. Since bionics and feel no pain are only used in conjunction with failed armor saves, and difficult terrain doesn't allow saves then they can't be used.

Don't bionics say that if your character would die you roll a D6 and if you get a six your character gets back up with one wound? I'm pretty sure it does in which case if you die from anything then you get to use the bionics. Just my two cents.

Edit: Oops, haven't read about bionics for almost a year since I don't use them, guess I should have double checked thanks for the correction. dicegod

Nope, it let you roll a D6 whenever you get a wound that doesn't insta kills you or is a power weapon. If you roll a 6 you can neglate that wound.

See, this is where I feel the rules wording is a bit iffy. If you suffer a close combat wound that allows no save, or an attack that would instakill, then you aren't allowed to use bionics. Since the equipped character is only taking one wound instead of instakill, and is not in close combat, neither of these situations apply, leading me to believe that bionics works with dangerous terrain. Those two instances usually involve A). A giant laser blast that would normally vaporize the character, or B). a weapon sheathed in plasma-ness slicing through all matter in the way. I liken a hard crash to a strong punch from an ogryn or something, hurts a lot but won't dissolve your armour. Also, if your character was taking dangerous terrain for walking through acid, etc, I bet steel legs would last a lot longer than flesh and blood. If I could get some rules junkies in here poring over the wording of these rules, that would be awesome, because I really want to know if according to wording, this works.
