Ok this a simple one which is in your opionion the best anti-tank vehicle that Eldar have?

Wave Serpent, hands down. Falcons are useless, like I said in the other thread, and while Fire Prisms can be used to destroy tanks, they can potentially miss and are generally much better at taking down infantry of any kind. Which is not to say they are bad at anti-tank by any means, since they can very much be used for that with their long range and S9/10. For my armies the bulk of my anti-tank is made up of Wave Serpents armed with EMLs and sometimes Fire Dragons.

Not arguing about the wave serpent here but...

Whaaa? Fire prisms better at infantry than vehicles??? Are you for real? I've never gotten that impression at all.

Don't you think 6 Fire Dragons in a Falcon with an EML is a little bit overkill?

The trouble with Falcons is that they use up a Heavy Support slot, and the real clincher is that they are not nearly as survivable as Wave Serpents. Really your Heavy Support should be filled with Fire Prisms and Nightspinners, except in 1000pt games where you don't have the room.

Well, unsupported by other units I would say the Wave serpent.

Granted support I totally would have gone for the Falcon. Put a seer with guide on that thing and it's pumpin out 3 S8 shots with re-rolls. Thats better than a serpent, and has a better chance to pop an average vehicle than two prisms linking, though I haven't done the math.

hornets cant even be used in reg. games so until they can i think the point on them is mute. i do agree that when they become official or our new codex comes out i will get some even tho they look kinda ugly ( ill have to convert a viper or sompin.)

Not necessarily true. Depends on your opponent (or any tournament house rules). To my knowledge their is no hard rule that says you can't use forgeworld. It's all down to where and when you play isn't it.

Anyway - BTT, they're still not as good as prisms!

Yah, you should probably tell your opponent beforehand and show them the rules if they aren't familiar with them but as long as the games aren't hardcore competitive (which I tend not to like playing anyway) you should be absolutely fine.

Well, I suppose when they're twin-linked they're equally good at both. But they're much less likely to completely miss on infantry.

I suppose if we're talking raw points, it depends what kind of infantry. For example, two Fire Prisms twin-linking to kill a unit of Space Marines is likely to be more points value than linking to kill a Predator, however killing a Leman Russ is obviously better than killing a squad of Guardsmen.

Yeah but by the same token this is a poll asking which is the best anti tank vehicle that eldar has and it doesn't even include War Walkers. I'd call that a better anti-tank vehicle than Falcons in the right setup. Not that I would ever use them.

What this all boils down do: IA is fun, it's usually pretty balanced, it's got some wicked cool models, and if your local group doesn't like it, sorry to say, they're boring people!
This. I've never encountered a situation where someone didn't let me use IA models.

Im surprised this is even close... Prisms win hands down. A strength 10 AP 1 shot? twin linked? BS 4? I mean Come ON people.. its practically auto kill on trukks and raiders, and vs Land raiders and liths and Russes, a Serpent with an EML doesnt have a chance..

S10, AP shot that requires the dedication of 2 tanks to do so.

2 tanks means 2 slots.... but the S10 AP1 twinlinked shot is just so awesome!!!!!!!!! you can always fill the last slot with a Night Spinner (S6 AP-) rending shot..... difficult and dangerous terrain, for 1 turn....

Only had a few games with my warp hunter since the apoc2e book came out.. So far it's been very impressive. 12" move, 6"+8" range (6" placement + length of flamer template) means you've got the range and mobility for a guaranteed hit on your target. glance on a 2, pen on a 5 is all you have to roll. Not rolling to hit makes it significantly better than a lance vs av12+ and it has the versatility to be an awesome infantry killer up to and including terminators. Wound on a 2, with no armour and no cover saves.. it's just brutal. If it's a sign of the eldar firepower to come then i'm very much in favour.
