Simultaneous combat and wound regeneration

Just something that crossed my mind.

If, say, two characters are fighting each other simultaneously, for example a chaos Lord Vs a Vampire Lord. Say they both do 3 wounds to each other and kill each other. However if one (or both) of those models have a rule that heals wounds for every wound they cause in combat are those wounds healed back to them before they die or is it at the end of the round combat (in which case they're dead and can't be healed). Does that make sense?

Plainly speaking.....

(simultaneous fight)
Vampire Lord smacks Khorne Lord and does 3 wounds. Killing him

Khorne Lord does 3 Wounds to Vampire Lord, killing him.

However the Khorne Lord has Soul feeder which heals wounds on a roll of a 6 for every wound caused. Say he heals 1. Is he dead or on 1 wound? I can't seem to find anything on this.

I can't find a rule for it either, but i wonder if that really matters. I don't think there's a rule preventing the guy from healing even if he dies.

i would treat it as Regeneration is worked out. A Troll doesn't die if his last wound is regenerated

If you're dead, you can't Heal. Regen is a save, you roll it in response to an enemy attack wounding you. Healing via items like Blood Drinker or Soul Feeder doesn't happen if you're dead before you get to use it.

Individual items will have different rules for when the healing occurs. Some will be "at the end of the close combat" in which case if you're dead before the end of the combat, it doesn't matter if you've caused a million wounds, your model has been removed from the table and there's nothing there to put the wounds on.
Souldfeeder immediately after the wound is caused (you roll for each wound caused - you cause a wound, roll the D6). On the one hand it's good, you'll always get a chance to roll. On the other, it's bad, because we're usually striking before anyone can wound us. In cases where we strike simultaneously, all wounds are inflicted at the exact same time. So when you roll after the wound, you've already been hit, and in your example above, are already dead.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers guys

Yeah, that makes sense man and kind of what I was thinking anyway. If you gain the wounds back immediately after your attacks then it's still after you've been dealt wounds so are dead before you can heal yourself. I know I'm answering my own question lol

Cheers to both of you! Oh, and Captain, I like your Sig ;)
